Applications:Butanedinitrile-​​13C2 is an intermediate in the synthesis of 1,4-Diaminobutane-1,4-13C2 Dihydrochloride (D416029), an isotope labelled compound of 1,4-Diaminobutane (D416025). 1,4-Diaminobutane is an amino acid degradation product. Used in the preparation of hexahydropyrimidines as novel hepatitis C virus inhibitors. Also a reagent in the synthesis of antibacterial castor oil-based polyurethane membranes.
